Welcome

Hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT and counselling in Newcastle upon Tyne

Hypnotherapy Newcastle is a small, independent practice based at Hadrian Lodge West in Wallsend, a short drive east of Newcastle city centre. We offer four approaches: hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and counselling. You can come to the clinic or have your sessions online from home. We also offer Reiki and past life regression.

People get in touch for all sorts of reasons. Some have stress or anxiety that will not settle. Others want to stop smoking, sleep better or feel more confident at work. Some simply feel stuck and want to talk it through with someone who will listen. Whatever brings you here, your sessions are planned around you rather than a set programme.

Every session is one to one and confidential. You will always know what is happening and why, and you can ask questions at any point.

How we can help

What can hypnotherapy help with?

Hypnotherapy and the other approaches we offer are used for a wide range of everyday problems. These are the areas people ask about most. If your concern is not listed, please still get in touch. If we think a different kind of support would suit you better, we will tell you honestly.

Not sure where you fit? Many problems overlap. Stress can affect sleep, and low confidence can feed anxiety. Your first call is simply about understanding what is going on for you.

Anxiety, stress and low mood

If worry or tension has started to affect your day, sessions can help you understand what sets it off and practise calmer ways of responding. Many people also learn a simple relaxation technique to use at home.

Confidence and performance

You may know exactly what you want to do but still freeze when the moment comes. We work on the thoughts and feelings that hold you back, so that speaking up, sitting an exam or taking a test feels more manageable.

  • Self-confidence
  • Self-esteem
  • Public speaking
  • Exam nerves
  • Driving test nerves
  • Sport

Habits and phobias

Some habits feel automatic, and some fears seem far bigger than the situation deserves. Hypnotherapy works with these automatic reactions, gently and at your own pace, to help you respond differently.

Sleep and relaxation

If your mind races when your head hits the pillow, sessions focus on helping you switch off. You will learn relaxation and self-hypnosis techniques you can use at bedtime.

A moment to reflect

At this point, you have two options…

Neither choice is wrong. It is simply a chance to notice where you are now and think about what you would like next.

Option one

Things Stay the Same

You can continue with what feels familiar, even when some of the same challenges keep returning.

Sometimes staying where you are feels easier than exploring something different.

Option two

Try Something New

Or you can take a first step towards positive change.

An opportunity to explore new perspectives, build confidence and work towards the life you would like to create.

Explore your options

Change begins with a first step.

You don't need all the answers before reaching out. Hypnotherapy Newcastle offers a welcoming space to discuss your concerns, explore your options and consider what might be right for you.

Questions

Hypnotherapy in Newcastle: common questions

What is hypnotherapy and how does it work?

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis, a natural state of deep relaxation and focused attention, to help you make changes. In this calm state, many people find it easier to look at a problem from a new angle and imagine responding in a different way. It is often used alongside talking, so you stay involved in every part of the process.

Is hypnotherapy safe, and will I be in control?

Yes. You stay aware of what is happening throughout, you can hear everything that is said and you can open your eyes whenever you like. You cannot be made to do or say anything you do not want to. Most people simply describe it as feeling very relaxed.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on you and what you are working on. Some people come for a few sessions, while others prefer a longer piece of work. We will talk about this openly, and you can stop at any time. Stop smoking hypnotherapy is usually a single, longer session.

How much does hypnotherapy cost in Newcastle?

Fees depend on the type and length of session. We will explain the current prices clearly during your free consultation call, before you book anything. You are also welcome to ask by phone or email.

Can I have hypnotherapy online?

Yes. Hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT and counselling are all available online as well as at the clinic in Wallsend. You just need a quiet, private room, a comfortable chair and a reliable internet connection.

Where is the clinic?

The clinic is at Hadrian Lodge West, 28 Rosedale, Wallsend, NE28 9TX. It is easy to reach from Newcastle city centre and from across North Tyneside, including Gosforth, Jesmond, Whitley Bay and Killingworth.

Is hypnotherapy available on the NHS?

Hypnotherapy is not widely offered on the NHS, so most people see a private practitioner. If you would like NHS talking therapy, you can refer yourself to NHS Talking Therapies in your area. Private sessions can sit alongside any NHS care you receive.

Should I speak to my GP first?

If you have symptoms that have not been checked by a doctor, or you are being treated for a health condition, it is sensible to speak to your GP. Hypnotherapy is a complementary approach and works best alongside medical care, not instead of it.
